Overview

Identify sales leads, pitch Gallagher Bassett’s’ services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts, targeting the complex property and liability loss adjusting arena. As Business Development Manager you will be required to prepare quotations and proposals, present to clients, and meet financial targets to ensure the growth of Gallagher Bassett. How you'll make an impact To develop and qualify new business opportunities in respect of claims management and associated service offerings. This role will be predominantly focussed on growing our Carrier, London Market, MGA and corporate business opportunities specifically in complex property and liability loss adjusting, however will also extend across all market segments as required To liaise and interact with other Gallagher Bassett departments (Claims Management, Loss Adjusting, Risk Control, Client Services, Finance and IT) relating to the delivery of services to new accounts To manage transition from prospect to implemented client in conjunction with the account management team. To meet financial targets – budget and new business production To prepare quotations and proposals and present to clients and prospects. Input on pricing issues is expected To execute an agreed new business plan and monitor on an ongoing basis To maintain all records (electronic and otherwise) and prepare monthly or other reports in formats to be agreed To liaise with Client Services in respect of marketing services function, i.e. literature, brochures, conferences, etc. Promote Gallagher Bassett at every opportunity To assist in new product development and drive the Gallagher Bassett proposition forward, considering all eventualities. To meet Gallagher Bassett’s training and quality goals and standards Supervision of team of Business Development Executives Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett About you Extensive experience in the complex property and/or liability loss adjusting arena. Substantial experience in a similar producing role Thorough understanding of the Insurance and Claims Industry Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create and develop relationships Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to Ability to work under pressure and without supervision Ability to liaise with colleagues when appropriate Ability to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters and reports Capable and confident written English skills Confident and effective presentation skills Confident and effective telephone skills Confident numeracy skills Strong Leadership skills #LI-DT1 Compensation and benefits Gallagher is Disability Confident Committed.
