Job summary

This role is to support the commissioning function of the Urgentand Emergency Care Team. The role is responsible for Non-Emergency Patient Transport commissioning for the county andensuring that patient transport is intrinsically linked to all elementsof the health economy and provides a seamless service to patientsand providers and offers value for money.

The post will also beresponsible for some commissioning elements of the UEC acrossKent and Medway including procurements (currently on-going).

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities

o The role supports the business in driving transformation as wellas value for money in planning, commissioning and service.

o The role is designed to build a combination of subject matterexpertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.

o The post holder will define current processes, facilitatediscussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might beadopted in the definition of future processes, document thoseprocesses as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.
