Interim Finance Manager

My client is seeking an interim Finance Manager to support the team over the next 3 months, based in Ipswich. This will be a hands-on role and would require someone to be confident in month-end closes and reconciliations of a number of accounts. In addition, this role requires someone who is confident in managing small to medium-sized teams and would require strong, excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and manage financial systems/policies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Cash flow management and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
  • Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business.
  • Stakeholder management and communication.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is often preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) are highly desirable.
  • Proven managerial experience, typically 5+ years in a finance role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient user of finance software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
