We are seeking an experienced programme manager, with proven ability to deliver major projects to desired outcomes including time and cost, to support the significant reconfiguration of UHD Radiology services as part of our programme to modernise healthcare in Dorset.The post holder will work closely with UHD's Transformation and Strategy team, and the WCCSS operational team, including wider operational teams & service stakeholders.Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital Interview Date: TBC PLEASE NOTE: PREVIOUS UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY Main duties of the job Reporting to the Head of Imaging services , the Programme Manager will be accountable within the Radiology Directorate for the transformation activities and programme. This includes the New Hospitals Programme (NHP)Capital ProgrammeClinical Design and Integration ProgrammeService Reconfiguration Projects The Programme Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistency of approach across all the projects/programmes and ensuring adherence to governance and reporting processes to provide assurance to all stakeholders.They will also be responsible for implementation and delivery of their own specific projects/programmes which will include oversight and mitigation of risks as well as setting project milestones for the project teams, working to them to ensure delivery within relevant time, cost, quality parameters. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The services within directorate portfolios are delivered predominantly at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital, with a smaller proportion delivered at Christchurch Hospital and in other community/hospital sites across Dorset via Service Level Agreements. Person specification Experience Essential criteria Broad operational management experience within an Acute NHS Trust environment.Experience of managing and delivering services to deadline and within resourcesDemonstrable experience of demand and capacity modelling.Demonstrable success in the delivery of KPIs within an acute NHS environment.Experience of planning and developing strategy within complex organisation contextExperience of successful delivery cost improvement and transformation programmesExperience of successfully managing budgets – familiar with budget setting, monitoring and actively managing variation. Desirable criteria Involvement in NHS service development and reconfigurationLeading on capacity planningExperience of working within Radiology services Interpersonal Skills Essential criteria High level leadership, influencing and persuasion skills. Knowledge Essential criteria Demonstrable understanding of the NHS operating context, including health care funding and the financial framework and of Government Policy.Expert knowledge of NHS reporting regimes including compliance with performance targets and effective pathway management.A good understanding of the changing NHS environment.Understanding general business and financial concepts, understanding the organisation’s businessSignificant experience of clinical governance structures and processes. Qualifications Essential criteria Evidence of post-qualification study/professional development to master’s level (post grad certificate/MBA/MSc) or equivalent senior management experienceFirst degree or has appropriate level of senior managerial experience
