Job summary
The post holder will play an instrumental role in leading and delivering the pharmacy transformation and integration programme for the Children's Cancer Primary Treatment Centre (PTC) (3 days/week) as well as to jointly lead and deliver the Paediatric Pharmacy Clinical Trials Service with the Lead Paediatric Research Pharmacist (2 days/week).
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Evelina London, the Royal Marsden, St George's and other clinical partners, supporting the Associate Chief Pharmacist Evelina London in delivering the move of the Children's Cancer PTC.
Main duties of the job
The key results areas for this post are:
Work closely with the Evelina London, PTC, GSTT leadership teams and the Associate Chief Pharmacist Evelina London to lead and deliver the large scale and complex programme of clinical change across pharmacy. This will involve the overarching approach to the PTC's model of pharmaceutical care provision and workforce structure, clinical governance and formulary integration as well as supporting the associated aseptic programme elements, requiring a high degree of complex analysis, planning and collaborative partnership working.
Lead on identifying, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships on behalf of the pharmacy workstreams. This will require maintaining a deep understanding of the clinical services in the PTC and GSTT along with its governance structure and operating model.
Support the PTC Programme team and Associate Chief Pharmacist Evelina London and other operational teams to ensure pharmacy programme delivers clinical, financial and experience improvements.
Jointly lead and develop the provision of a safe, effective and efficient pharmacy clinical trials service to support the growth of the paediatric clinical trials portfolio in line with local and national standards and strategies.
Provide professional leadership and support stakeholders to deliver paediatric clinical trials that are compliant with applicable regulations.
