About the RoleThis is a challenging opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to lead our Pharmaceutical Compounding Service in accordance with General Pharmaceutical Council Regulations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our compounding lab, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective production of non-sterile compounded products for patients and prescribers.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to problem-solve effectively, and possess strong attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead the Compounding Team: Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other support staff to ensure efficient end-to-end manufacturing of non-sterile compounded products.
- Responsible Pharmacist: Act on a rotational basis as the Responsible Pharmacist, adhering to Regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all compounded products meet specifications, preparation methods are correct, and GMP standards are upheld.
- Research and Development: Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop new preparations, formulate queries, and improve existing processes.
- Operational Excellence: Contribute to maintaining a Quality Management System that translates into operational excellence.
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist: Essential qualification for this role.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent ability to follow instructions methodically and accurately.
- Basic Computer Skills: Essential for efficient data management and communication.
- Production/Compounding Experience: Highly desirable, but not essential.
A competitive salary range $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
