Pharmaceutical Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Service Manager to join our team at Fagron GmbH & CO. KG in London, UK. As a key member of our compounding service, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our non-sterile compounding laboratory, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective pharmaceutical products are produced for patients and prescribers.
The estimated salary for this position is around £65,000 - £85,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Job:
You will work closely with the Director of Operations and Superintendent Pharmacist to ensure the quality management system is maintained, including writing, quality assuring, or approving standard operating procedures. Your duties will include supervising the pharmacist operations and quality assurance, as well as the lab manager, to ensure all compounded products meet specifications, preparation methods are correct, and GMP standards are upheld.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the non-sterile compounding laboratory.* Ensure data integrity standards are upheld across the documentation pathway, including ALCOA+.* Provide advice to the production team on capacity and contingency planning, considering production staff numbers, time to compound, equipment, premises, and prescriber/patient demand.* Formulate or quality assure the formulation of all new preparations.* Maintain turnaround times of production as per the company's key performance indicators and work towards continuous improvement of the pharmacy service.
Requirements:
* Ability to problem solve and action change effectively with minimum supervision.* Ability to follow instructions methodically with excellent attention to detail.* Basic computer skills essential.* Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the company.* Production/Compounding experience is highly desirable.* GPhC-registered Pharmacist.* Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.* Strong communication and leadership skills.* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
