**Job Summary**

This Deputy Dispensary Manager role supports the Chief Pharmacy Technician in the delivery and development of an efficient dispensary service, adhering to CQC standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive communication and leadership skills, assisting with day-to-day running, staff management, and service improvements within the Inpatient pharmacy at the Royal Free Hospital.

As a GPhC qualified technician, you will be familiar with JAC medicines management systems and automated robotic dispensing systems. Experience in undertaking audits, writing procedures, and operational management is advantageous.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • To ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and economic drug use through adherence to Trust policies and professional accountability to enhance patient care.
  • Provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical advice and information to other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring adherence to hospital antimicrobial policy as well as other clinical protocols for the Trust.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences (NVQ Pharmacy services Level 3) or equivalent.
  • CPPE or equivalent ACPT qualification or working towards.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ A1 workplace assessor award or Educational Supervisor.

The estimated salary range for this position is £44,806 - £53,134 per annum, inclusive of HCAS. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, including training and supervision, project management, and experience in recruitment and selection.
