Overview of the role:

JCB is one of the world’s largest makers of construction and agricultural equipment. Beyond the machines that JCB is world renowned for, more than 10 million JCB licensed, and merchandise products are sold each year such as tools, workwear, and toys.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the JCB Consumer Products team who work with licensees to develop compelling products that best represent JCB at retail. Supporting a small team of Licensing Managers, you will play a critical role in all product development seeking to improve the product range and create stronger consumer engagement.

The ideal candidate who will thrive in this dynamic role will have scope to utilise their strong all-around creative knowledge as well their previous product development experience to shape both how and what products are developed.

You will drive and execute projects that are in line with core product messaging, company positioning and highest standards of compliance and are pivotal to JCB Consumer Products future growth.

Responsibilities:

· Product Analysis – undertake customer and marketplace research to identify product opportunities.

· Product Ideation – work with cross functional teams to create briefs and guidelines aligned to the JCB brand with clearly defined goals for both product and packaging.

· Product design – Collaborate with product designers to generate concepts that are feasible to develop into products that will appeal to the target customer.

· Product development – responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring and completion of new product introduction projects.

· Product approvals – managing product and assets through the approval process.

· Excellent track record of product ownership; delivering on brand and to customer requirements.

· Have a passion and flair for visual design.

· An innovative and customer-focused mindset

· A strong eye for visual composition and attention to details.

· A confident communicator, able to brief others clearly on what is needed.

· A great can-do attitude with the want to grow and develop within the team.

· The ability to challenge the status quo and consistently strive to improve and strengthen the plans and processes.
