This is a high-profile role for a practical and product-orientated leader, who can develop the range of JCB Backhoe Loader (BHL) products by quickly building relationships with our customers, dealer network and our regional sales and engineering teams.

 About your role:

Managing a multifunctional product marketing team, you’ll work with key stakeholders to develop a clear roadmap to grow the Global Backhoe Loader business in-line with our five-year plan. Identifying both short and longer-term growth opportunities, your focus will be to drive the product, sales and marketing strategy for the top ten BHL markets, including North America, South America, Turkey, and Middle East. To do this, you’ll produce a clear and aligned product strategy for the global supply of Backhoe Loaders – having visited these key regions to fully understand their home markets and competitors, enabling you to carry out S.W.O.T analysis. This will consider a multi-tier product offering, sourced from numerous production facilities around the world, as well as providing the product specification and commercial input into the new product introduction process (NPIP).

 About you:

Degree qualified in Engineering, Product Marketing, Business or equivalent, you’ll have demonstrable ability to lead and influence a cross-functional team, as well as being committed to transforming and growing the business in line with company goals. We’re looking for someone with a strategic mind-set and outstanding communication skills at all levels. A highly driven leader with strong product marketing and change management experience, you must also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the construction industry and our competitors.

This is a role that demands a true company ambassador with strong financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to construct, analyse and present business cases. All this will be combined with management and leadership experience and excellent Microsoft office skills. Travelling worldwide, when necessary, your ability to negotiate and influence at the highest level of any given organisation will be key, as well as demonstrating a sound knowledge of the construction and machinery markets.
