TheRole

Our Management Accountantwill assist in the daily running of a busy finance department. Thisindividual will ensure the provision of a highquality financial andmanagement accounting service that supports the effectiveness andefficiency of the business within statutory and regulatoryguidelines.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Triaging incomingemails to the central finance inbox
  • Processingpurchase orders and invoices obtaining approvals wherenecessary
  • Preparing supplier payments forapproval and sending remittances
  • Processingmonthly employee expense claims (using SAP Concur) and reconcilingstatements to post to the ledger
  • Processingpayroll
  • Preparing and sending customer invoicesand statements in a timely manner
  • Ensuringtimely credit control procedures are used to limit the risk of baddebt
  • Processing the bank reconciliationcreating journals/ entries for activity asrequired
  • Assisting with the completion ofmonthend reconciliations as part of monthendprocedures
  • Assisting with the preparation andreview of monthly management accounts
  • Assistingwith preparing and creating MI reports in a timely manner ahead ofMonthly Management Meetings.
  • Creating VATjournals checking activity and assisting with the submission ofquarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting in thepreparation of yearend audit pack for auditors and providingauditors with any informationrequested
  • Overseeing tax payments andconducting internal audits
  • Supporting accurateand timely processing of financialtransactions
Skills and AttributesRequired
  • Part Qualified Accountantwith 24 years work experience
  • Studying towardsACCA or CIMA
  • Proficient in MSExcel
  • Has an aptitude for using systems andautomation processes to produce timely and accurate managementinformation
  • Good understanding of BusinessCentral & Sage
  • Understanding ofMicrosoft Power BI (preferred notessential)
  • Desire to remain abreast of thelatest financial practices and regulations
  • Asolid grasp of mathematics and financialdata
  • Excellent time and project managementskills
  • Excellent stakeholder managementskills
