Accounts Payable Manager

Our client, based in central York, is looking for an **Accounts Payable Manager** who will be responsible for the management and processing of purchase invoices onto their accounting system, along with forecasting and the production of paymentruns with an expectation to improve and change systems and processes to increase efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices onto the Finance system
- Resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Process overhead invoices and expense claims
- Accurate calculation and processing of monthly payments, in line with agreed rates
- Provide accurate forecasting of expected supplier payments
- Process BACS supplier payment runs in line with agreed terms
- Checking and approval of new supplier accounts ensuring all information is present and correct
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Identify process improvements to automate where possible, working with internal stakeholders to define and implement new processes
- Develop and implement robust processes and controls for employee expense and corporate card transactions

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced accounts team, with a focus on Accounts Payable is essential
- The ability to work within a team, understand processes and work proactively is essential
- IT literate with intermediate experience of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
