DescriptionThe successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance of static and mobile plant and the HGV/LGV fleet, including coordinating maintenance activities.
The successful applicant will be ideally experienced working in similar disciplines and shows good mechanical, electrical, welding and fabrication knowledge and skills with a good level of capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure repairs and completed to a compliant standard with Operators licence requirements
  • Work closely with transport Department to ensure that the vehicles are maintained to a compliant standard
  • Manage defect repairs to a timescale that promotes good vehicle availability. Keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Ensure excellent customer service delivery at all times
  • Ensure good communication is maintained at all times
  • Ensure all I.T systems are used correctly and all data is entered accurately, processed in a timely manner
  • Carry out basic general mechanical work, removal damaged/fitting new parts
  • Basic vehicle electrical repairs
  • Ordering new parts and consumable items
  • Assisting third party engineers, both plant and vehicle
  • Monitoring and actioning daily vehicle defects, repairing or arranging repairs
  • Making of Hydraulic hose(s) for replacement on all vehicles and plant as required ( training of equipment can be arranged )
  • Assisting in prep of vehicle disposals
  • Welding of all containers (skip/RoRo) also welding and heating of vehicle parts ( training can be arranged )
  • Basic refurb of all containers (painting and applying enva graphics)


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload for self.
  • Good level of IT skills and computer Literacy.
  • A detailed and organised approach to work activities
  • Proactive and reactive maintenance with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and whilst working to tight deadlines

  • Flexibility and availability towards working times to ensure the site is kept operational.
