Hollywood Gaming provides software, hardware and expertise to global brands in the immersive experience and creative sectors. Hollywood Gaming has been established since 2005 and has worked with major clients as varied as Sega, Popcap and Electronic Arts to University of Warwick and Birmingham Royal Ballet.

The vacancy is for an Apprentice Designer to work with and produce both 2D and 3D artwork. The successful applicant will work to produce 2D/3D design elements for inclusion into immersive environments. This will include working in Unity and UnReal environments as well as Adobe products such as Photoshop . The role will involve a mix of working at our Coventry location and working from home.

The role of Apprentice Designer requires a wide variety of skills. The candidate must be able to apply creative thinking to a wide variety of challenges and be able to methodically work towards a final design. Most design tasks will require a good understanding of a supplied brief and how the various software packages can be used to produce a suitable design. The ability to convey information in both written and verbal form is also a requirement.

Enthusiastic and committed. Keen to learn and develop skills, and willingness to embrace change. Ability to think independently and work within a team. Able to generate own creative ideas from a brief Punctual and Reliable

Requirements:

Applicants should be literate and numerate. Grade 5 and above in English, Maths as well as creative/art are preferable. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their level of interest in design via a portfolio of work.

Training to be provided:

Content Creator Level 3 Standard

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.

A creative mind with an interest in 3D modelling is essential. Good communication skills are also essential, as well as a desire to learn new skills. They should have an organized and professional approach, yet also have a sense of creativity and flair within their work
