Our Data Management team have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Liaison Officer to join them in Preston.

As a Business Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for obtaining as-laid drawings from the field within target timescales. You’ll ensure the quality of drawings for progression and liaise with the business to address any initial quality issues. You’ll also maintain the SATS LIVE system to reflect the true position of ongoing work and provide an audit trail.

This role is crucial to providing accurate data quality across our key systems and will include the ability to analyse data and produce statistics as required to monitor receipt of as laid drawings.

Day to day you’ll:

  • Carry out quality checks on all incoming work and ensure that only data of the required standard is accepted for capture in MAP3d and in accordance with the Operations Manual;
  • Provide the Data Management manager with regular reports on current position of as-laids outstanding from field and outstanding QAs (Quality Assurance); =
  • Liaise with the wider business to support the receipt of as laid drawings in a timely fashion and when quality issues are escalated by Data Maintainers;
  • Assist in the data cleansing and data capture exercises associated with future and specific capital projects such as Rising and Lateral Mains;
  • Assist in the training of new team members, and provide training for graduates, apprentices, contractors and people new in post in the department;
  • Participate and assist in additional tasks on an ad-hoc basis which will support the aims and objectives of the section.

To support ENW incident management all employees are required to hold a secondary supporting role. This may include inbound/outbound call handing during and post incidents.

As a Business Liaison Officer you’ll have:

  • Knowledge or experience of Geographic mapping systems and or electricity network diagrams (desirable);
  • Knowledge of core company systems including GIS (MAP 3d) CHiME, WEBDMD, ADQM, SPUDS, NMSl
  • The ability to use AutoCAD (desirable);
  • A good understanding of electricity symbology standards and network connectivity within electricity distribution (essential).

To succeed in the role you’ll:

  • Be results focused and able to deliver results under your own initiative in a timely manner;
  • Be a good communicator and able to interpret demands from the business;
  • Have advanced IT skills;
  • Be highly accurate when updating ENWL’s operational information systems.
