MainAccountabilities

• Maintainthe training ground pitches for the 1st teamB team and Academy teams.
• Report to the Headand Deputy Grounds person at the BFC Training groundsite.
• Undertaking general maintenanceoperations associated with pitchmanagement.
• Divoting and repairing of trainingground pitches after games and any trainingsessions.
• Undertaking general routinemaintenance operations including:

• • Use of tractors and other various tractorimplements
  • Use of pedestrian/handheldmachinery
  • Setting up preparing and maintainingof the pitch to a high standard
  • Setting andmarking out of pitches and technical areas
  • Applying various fertilisers using a tractor mountedspreader or pedestrian spreader.
  • Irrigationmanagement.

• Ability to assist with mini renovations using relevantequipment andprocesses.

• Maintain themachinery by performing repairs or contracting maintenance servicesas needed.
• Track pitch usage and upkeep aswell as pitch testing moisture readings firmness cut height andother specifics for preparing weekly reports for Head/ Deputy HeadGrounds person and communication for weekly schedules.
• Keep the surrounding grounds properly caredfor and landscaped.
• Work within a ground staffteam to ensure that the Club is able to meet its target ofdelivering a worldclass training ground pitches.
• Ensure facilities and practices meet healthand safety requirements and that they comply withlegislation.
• This job description does notcontain all the duties and responsibilities that may arise in thisrole and you will need to undertake other duties as instructed oron initiative to ensure the safe operational functioning of thestadium.
• Expectation is to work at least 1 in 4weekends as per workingrota.

PersonSpecification Essential PersonalCharacteristics

• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills with an ability to inspireand motivate others.
• Competent with MicrosoftOffice packages particularly Word andOutlook
• Confident working alongside seniormanagement.
• Experience being a Grounds personwithin sporting environments.
• NVQ L2qualification in sports turf green keeping and groundsmanship orequivalent.
• A selfstarter with a high level ofinitiative proactivity and assertive approach
• Uses initiative with minimal supervisionincluding in challenging situations.
• Canmanage a heavy workload with strictdeadlines.
• A clean UK driving license to allowfor travel to and from the stadium and trainingground.
• Flexible and willing to take on adhoctasks as this role will require weekend working as to accommodatethe training ground requirements.
• Comfortableworking independently and as part of ateam.
