The Pharmacy team is forward thinking; we embrace change and are constantly looking for ways to improve the service. The patient is at the centre of all that we do, and our strategy is to provide a pharmacy service that has medicines optimisation at its heart. EPMA (Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration) has been implemented at both sites increasing patient safety and accuracy. Applicants must be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.Full-time (37.5 hours per week).Weekend shifts 1 in 5 (either Saturday or Sunday) and approximately one Bank Holiday shift per year.This is a cross site Maternity cover role over a 12month period, so this post also offers an excellent step up into a leadership role, allowing you to develop further skills whilst being fully supported and developed. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Masters degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)Registration with the General Pharmaceutical CouncilDiploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experienceRegistered Pharmacy Independent Prescriber with experience in Haematology / Oncology, or be prepared to undertake this qualification / experience Desirable criteria Membership of a professional organisation (e.g. Royal Pharmaceutical Society, UKCPA, BOPA) Experience Essential criteria 2 to 4 years NHS hospital experience post qualificationPrevious experience of working in Haematology / OncologySupervising and developing staffDelivering education and trainingDirectorate pharmacy experience meeting with clinicians and managersAbility to communicate effectively in difficult/demanding circumstancesTime management skills, ability to meet deadlinesAbility to analyse information and make judgementsGood clinical knowledge of current therapeutics and pharmacy practice including Haematology / Oncology medication regimens Desirable criteria Clinical audit projects or practice researchExperience of leading a teamExperience of service development
