Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, high-performing and well-regarded administrative team as a Patient Pathway Administrator (PPA) to support our Cancer and Routine patients in the HPB service at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The PPA is a significant roleand a key member of our administrative team supporting multidisciplinary clinicians and in service of our main purpose of the role is todeliver high-quality, timely and efficient administrative services to our surgery serviceto allow our patients to move smoothly along their hospital pathways forbest possible and timely care.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with our clinicians and as a key member of the HPB Administration Team, the post holder will deliver high-quality and timely administrative services that include requesting follow-up appointments and tracking & reporting on the intended treatment, progress and status of our patients.

The post holder will play a key role within the service and will work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public. Experience of medical systems is desirable due to the contract length.

It is preferable but not essential that the successful candidate will have had previous NHS experience, ideally in a similar role; some business & administration education or equivalent experience; and experience of using clinical IT systems (such as Notis or Careflow). Some competence in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. We use Microsoft Teams extensively as our online collaboration and communications tool.
