The Malone has just rebranded and has undergone an extensive refurbishment of the bar, restaurant, and wider hotel.

We have an opportunity for an Executive Chef to join our growing team at an extremely exciting time We are a locally owned, boutique four* hotel where your personality and originality will have a chance to shine

This is an incredible opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Executive Chef to lead and manage the kitchen operations through a restaurant bar and wider hotel rebrand. You will oversee the food offering across the restaurant, bar & function spaces, building a strong and well-trained team who consistently deliver amazing culinary experiences, day in, day out.

About The Role

An overview of your duties:

· Responsible for planning, organising, and developing the overall food strategy for pre and post opening operations across all hotel F&B outlets in line with the rebrand vision.

· Support talent selection for your kitchen team, ensure the department is adequately staffed and trained.

· Always ensure the highest level of guest and employee care and develop a positive working culture within the department and pride in their food.

· Oversee purchasing, payroll, cleaning and maintenance within the kitchen areas and any other admin required for the department.

· Help develop the departmental budgets, ensure actions and strategies are in place to meet those targets.

· Work alongside the Hotel Directors and senior team to consistently deliver an impeccable and profitable product.

· Consistently review your offerings in line with industry trends, seasonality and ensuring strong use of local produce and suppliers.

· Comply with statutory regulations and ensure the business operates within the law and ensure your team have all necessary up to date qualifications.

· Regularly review guest feedback to improve your product and service.

Desired Criteria

  • Proven track record in a hotel environment operating to 4-star standard

Required Criteria

  • At least 3 years experience at Head Chef level
  • Strong people manager and an inspirational leader
  • Knowledge of working to and with financial targets
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded
  • knowledge of large scale functions/events
