The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team are based across the two sites of Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside Hospital and serves approximately 8,500 NHS employees. Occupational Health services are also provided to a number of external companies within the local area. This role will be predominantly based in the Occupational Health Department at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The OccupationalHealth and Wellbeing Service includes Occupational Health Nurses, Advisors,Screening Nurses and Health Care Assistant, OH Physiotherapy Service, WellbeingTeam, Moving and Handling Team, Admin Team and is part of the Human ResourcesDirectorate.
The Team worksacross all sites within the Trust, with the main departments being situated onSouth Tyneside District Hospital and Sunderland Royal Hospital sites. As theOccupational Health Team Assistant you will be involved with administrativeduties with in the Department. There will be periods of time of lone workinginvolved in the role at the beginning or end of a working day. The Departmentcurrent opening times are Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.

Job responsibilities
Support the multi-disciplinary team, by undertaking a range of clinical and non-clinical tasks to support the smooth running of the Service including clerical, typing and reception support as well as assisting with the provision of basic clinical care including phlebotomy.
To ensure prescribed investigations have been undertaken and results readily available in order to facilitate care.
Undertake filing of results and reports as appropriate.
