Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
  • Assist SEN students with their learning and development
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Help students with personal care needs, if required
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of SEN teaching methods and strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of SEN teaching methods and strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with SEN students
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid training
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a secondary school environment
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Potential for personal care duties
