Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Northampton  
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 3:30pm – Term Time Only

A Special Educational Needs (SEN) School, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team in Northampton in September. 

Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities designed to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
*Support the assessment of student progress and contribute to the preparation of individual learning plans.
*Facilitate social integration and participation in school activities.
*Provide one-to-one support to students requiring additional assistance with school tasks.
*Assist with the management of classroom behaviour, maintaining a calm and safe learning environment.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student welfare.
*Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your own understanding of SEN best practices.

Requirements:
*Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable but not essential.
*Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of children with diverse learning disabilities.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with students, staff, and parents.
*A proactive, compassionate, and patient approach with the ability to engage children positively.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of special education.
*A valid Enhanced DBS check or willing to apply for one (we can support).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
