We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Special Needs Teaching Assistant ,to join our team and work closely with a child in Year 3. This role is for mornings only, as the child is currently on a reduced timetable with the aim of eventually transitioning to a full-time schedule.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the child's academic and emotional development, providing one-on-one assistance to help them thrive in a school environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and possess a calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor. They will be responsible for implementing individualised learning strategies, managing behaviour in a positive and supportive manner, and collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a consistent and encouraging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a Year 3 child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enhance their learning experience.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement and adapt learning strategies and interventions.
Foster a positive and encouraging environment to promote the child's emotional and social development.
Support the child in achieving their individual education plan (IEP) targets.
Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to relevant staff and parents.
