South West Yorkshire PartnershipFoundation Trust are recruiting for an enthusiastic Consultant Child andAdolescent Psychiatrist to join the Wakefield CAMHS team based at AiredaleHealth Centre, The Square, Fryston Road, Castleford WF10 3JJ. This new post plays a vital part in ensuringour patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral rolewithin the service.

The consultant in this post willprovide dedicated psychiatrist time into NIST (neurodiverse inclusive supportteam) in order to provide a safer service for young people and familiesreferred to NIST. They will provide dedicated clinical leadership within theNIST team and will have a small caseload. It is hoped that the post holder willalso lead the development of efficiency pathways and streamline clinicalprocesses, particularly in relation to links with Mid Yorks communitypaediatrics and Childrens Community Team for Learning Disabilities (CTLD)teams.

We also invite interest fromSpecialty doctors who are interested in Fixed Term acting-up posts whilepursuing the CESR pathway. SWYFT has a dedicated CESR tutor and we will supportthe successful applicant to achieve Approved Clinician status and to obtain CESR.Please reach out if you would like to explore this further.

Excellent knowledge in clinical specialty. Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge. Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English. MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Included on the GMC Specialist Register for child and adolescent psychiatry OR within six months of gaining CCT. Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment. Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.

Desirable

In good standing with GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice Experience of working in CAMHS Learning Disability teams.
