Applications are invited to join a leading vascular ultrasound unit based in these two world famous London teaching hospitals. There is currently a vacancy for a Vascular Laboratory Administrator to provide administrative support and general support to the Vascular Laboratory, see job description.

Currently we have six accredited vascular scientists, one trainee, a microvascular scientist and an administrator. The unit performs a wide range of vascular and microvascular diagnostic methods. We work closely with six consultant vascular surgeons, three vascular nurse specialists and other medical specialists.

Barts Health NHS Trust is uniquely situated in the heart of London and has undergone major redevelopment, including new accommodation, as part of the largest healthcare PFI in Europe. There are therefore excellent travel and social facilities at hand. Main duties of the job

Full time post (37.5 hours per week), providing administrative support and general support to the Vascular Laboratory.

Essential criteria

A good standard of secondary education (GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths) Numerate and Literate

Experience / Knowledge

Essential criteria

Knowledge of the health service and related services Minimum 1 year experience using customer focused administrative system. Work confidentially

Desirable criteria

Previous experience of working in an NHS environment. Knowledge of National Outpatient Targets Previous experience using Cerner Millennium and RISe/PACs systems
