CompleteDescription:

Virginia State Police (VSP) is looking for a Senior DataScientist with 6years of experience performing complex dataanalysis and creating management and statistical reports for theCriminal and Rap Back Information System (CRIS) project. Theincumbent will perform complex data research and analysis for CRISand creates data to support system testing including interfacetesting. The incumbent will serve as the Team Leader for two teamsa test data team and a Microsoft Power BI reports team. Theincumbent will collaborate with CRIS suppliers interface partnersthe VSP Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) andInformation Technology (IT) Divisions to extract scrub prepositionand utilize test data in coordination with test plans andactivities. The incumbent will coordinate test data management withthe VSP Information Security Officer (ISO). The incumbent willresearch and document report requirements and develop Power BIreports. These duties involve the following: Assists with thedevelopment of test plans and test cases; analysis of each testcase and applicable test data requirements and sources; leads allaspects of test data management in the CRIS and interface partnertest environments; develops and maintains an inventory of CRISreports; collaborates with stakeholders to refine the purpose ofeach report and look and feel preferences. Candidates for thisposition are required to have extensive experience developing PowerBI reports and experience developing system test plans. Alsocandidates for this position should possess strong leadershipskills strong organization administrative analytical problemsolving and interpersonal skills; be selfmotivated and able todevelop rapport and positive working relationships with coworkersand the agency at large; have prior experience implementingcloudhosted Software As A Service (SaaS) solutions; be able tomanage security access and user profile management; be able to workcollaboratively with various groups within VSP and VSP vendors toensure requirements are vetted and documented; be able to analyzefunctional/nonfunctional system requirements; possess excellentcommunication skills in English and the ability to communicate withinternal customers in nontechnical terms; be proficient withMicrosoft Products (Word Excel Visio PowerPoint). Candidates shouldhighlight any experience working on criminal justice projects. Theincumbent must work fulltime onsite at VSP headquarters NorthChesterfield.
