Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse working in Theatres at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, supporting and maintaining a high standard of patient care, for a wide variety of procedures including Orthopaedics, Vascular, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Robotic surgery, EVT, Mechanical Thrombectomy; working in accordance with Trust and departmental policies and participate with the on call out of hours rota. Develop leadership skills and experience in the management of the the Theatre co-ordinator in leading the team, ensuring the theatre services are efficiently and effectively both nursing and theatre practice and implement appropriate changes based on research/best an effective role model, and teach and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor to members of the team.Provide and maintain effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, both within and out of the operating departments.
