**Endoscopy Lead Practitioner**

This Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our Endoscopy & Theatres Team.

We are looking for a highly committed individual who is flexible and proactive with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in endoscopy.

**Hours**: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as required.

**Endoscopy Lead Practitioner**

Reporting to the Theatre Manager, as Endoscopy Lead you will be responsible for the management and activity of the Endoscopy service in line with departmental policies, practice standards, regulation and governance in order to provide high quality, cost effective care that puts the patient first at all times.

**Qualifications**
- NMC Registration
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Teaching, assessing mentorship qualification
- Diploma/degree in management

**Experience**
- Proven relevant Endoscopy experience at senior nurse level
- Proven evidence and sound knowledge base of the Global Ratings Scale (GRS) and the Joint Accreditation Group (JAG)
- Experience of Clinical governance and audit processes
- Experience of delivering a high standard of patient care within agreed financial limits.

**Skills**
- Effective leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrable skills of financial awareness and management with the need to balance the provision of quality care while maintaining a business focus
- Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission and the Joint Accreditation Group
- Auditing skills across clinical quality standards
- Sound written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
- IT literate

**Desirables**
- Previous experience in the Independent Sector
- Operators / Managers City & Guilds course in Decontamination HTM 01:06
