About the Role

Hedingham Medical Centre has a fantastic opportunity for an administrator/secretary to join their team, on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week, working Monday and Tuesday ;

This is an essential front-line role at the practice, providing an efficient, comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the practice management team. The main responsibilities of the role include: Provide an efficient audio typing service for GPs and health professionals as required. Provide data management including letters, reports, patient referrals, medical record coding and documentation workflow. Retrieve medical records and complete subject access requests/insurance reports. Maintain filing and administrative systems. Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries. Follow practice protocols to ensure consistent and high-quality care is provided to patients. Provide cover for members of the team during periods of sickness and annual leave. Perform any reasonable administrative tasks, as requested by the practice manager.
About the Candidate The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to fit into their friendly team. You will have the following skills and experience: Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. The ability to work well under pressure. Possess a 'can do' attitude. Preferred NHS experience and be familiar with SystmOne. Computer literate.  Understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and data security, at all times. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as being comfortable working independently Flexibility to cover during holiday periods.  About Us

Hedingham Medical Centre is a medium sized, family GP surgery, in rural Essex. They currently work from 3 sites, one site being at 10 Falcon Square in Castle Hedingham, another at Hilton House in Sible Hedingham, and the third Surgery at Bridge Street in Great Yeldham which has limited opening hours.

We are rated 'Good' by the CQC, have a practice population of 9300 patients and plan to move to a new purpose built site soon.
