About the Role

Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery in Halstead has a fantastic opportunity for a medical secretary to join their team on a full-time basis, for hours per week and support a practice that takes pride in its ‘can do’ attitude and is forward-thinking. You will work within what can be a busy, often demanding, but highly rewarding environment. 

You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial/ administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the clinical and administration team. Duties can include but are not limited to: Processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner. Liaising with departments and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies. Using the electronic referral system. You will be is expected to be a team player, act with integrity always and lead by example with reference to promoting excellence in customer service, communication with patients, equality and diversity and patient confidentiality. About the Candidate If you are an experienced medical secretary looking for a new and exciting challenge, then we would love to hear from you. You will have the following skills and experience: Ability to process medical referral letters using copy and audio typing (with a minimum of 60wpm). Excellent written English and grammar with the ability to adapt letters for clinicians. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (in particular Microsoft Word and Outlook). Secretarial qualifications or secretarial background is an advantage. About Us Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery is a friendly and welcoming SystmOne practice with a list size of 16,600. The practice has achieved a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
