A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Endometriosis.

This post is based within the Gynaecology department at Colchester Hospital within the Women's & Children's Division at ESNEFT. 

We are looking to recruit an experienced nurse with skills and experience in gynaecology and endometriosis care to work alongside clinical nurse Specialist team.

Main duties of the job

You will work both autonomously and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to co-ordinate and deliver an expert nurse-led service.

You will have excellent decision-making skills, ensuring the delivery of high quality care. In addition, you will also work alongside the hysteroscopy and cystoscopy Clinical Nurse Specialists in providing nurse-led clinics for clinical assessment, advice and support of women with endometriosis.

You will be an experienced Gynaecology Nurse with excellent clinical and communication skills with a proven record in teaching and education as well as service improvement and leadership.

Essential criteria

•Significant relevant experience in the specialty and ability to demonstrate expert nursing skills. •Experience of formal/informal teaching •Experience of initiating and leading change •Experience of budget management

Desirable criteria

•Audit or research experience •Experience of managing or leading a team

Qualifications

Essential criteria

•First Level Registered Nurse Adult •Post registration qualification in speciality, at Band 6 or above. •Evidence of continuous professional development •BSc in Adult Nursing •Degree in relevant topic

Desirable criteria

•MSc advanced clinical practice or working towards. Inclusive of Advanced clinical assessment and Non-medical prescribing. •Counselling skills qualification •Expectation to undertake study at Masters level with a focus on specialty role, such as advanced assessment skills, non-medical prescribing, pain management and / or gynaecological ultrasound •Member of BSGE
