Teaching Personnel are looking for a Personal Care Teaching Assistant to work in one of our client schools who have been rated a ‘Good’ School by Ofsted and have an excellent SEND Department.

As a Personal Care Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our students' daily lives, providing essential support to those with specific physical, emotional, and educational needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with daily personal care routines, including hygiene, dressing, and eating.
  • Support classroom activities and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, communicating with teachers and parents.
  • Provide emotional and social support, encouraging confidence and independence.

Requirements

  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm and composed in demanding situations.
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people and dedication to their personal growth and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is a plus but not mandatory.
