Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN within the classroom and during additional activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and assist with personal care needs when required.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to support student development and wellbeing.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment that enhances student engagement and learning.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within an educational or care setting.
  • Understanding of various SEN needs and strategies to support them effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN training) are advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work across different schools in Northampton.
