Job summary

We are a busy, multi surgery practice on the outskirts of Norwich looking for a receptionist/care navigator to join our friendly team on a full time ( hours) or part time basis.

Flexible working hours/arrangements can also be considered and will be discussed at interview.

As the first point of contact for patients you will be required to deal with queries, answering patients calls, booking appointments and carrying out daily administrative tasks.

Main duties of the job

Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system. Using the practice systems to make appointments. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately. Signpost patients to the correct service. Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence. Contact and respond to requests from patients, team members and external agencies. Read coding data on SystmOne. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required. Input data into the patients records as necessary. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.

As we operate from three surgeries, you may be required to work flexibly across all of these sites as required.

We have a fast-growing list size of 22,000 patients and we are part of the 5-practice Ketts Oak Primary Care Network.

Experience

Essential

Ability to communicate professionally, with genuine empathy. Have good listening skills whilst working under pressure.

Desirable

Experience of working as a receptionist in general practice and knowledge of SystmOne - but full training will be given.
