We are recruiting for an administrative modern apprentice within Tayside Innovation MedTech Ecosystem (TIME), to support the TIME administrator. This is a fixed-term appointment for 2 years.

TIME is a collaboration consortium based at Wilson House, adjacent to Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals. It nurtures a collaborative environment for academic, NHS and commercial partners to advance MedTech innovation. Although based in the School of Medicine, TIME operates as an inclusive platform that encompasses the diverse and interdisciplinary strengths across all schools within the University of Dundee. A modern apprenticeship is a work-based training programme that leads to an industry approved qualification for 16-24-year-olds. Training is mostly on-the-job, which means Modern Apprentices learn the right mix of skills, knowledge and abilities. It is hoped that the successful candidate would achieve SVQ Business and Administration Level 2 within the 2-year period. Pay will be at the National Minimum Wage Rate based on age of candidate (ages 16-24).

Working alongside the TIME administrator, you will assist them with roles underpinning the smooth running of the TIME network.

The School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.

Your priorities will include:

  • Assisting the TIME administrator with the coordination of site visits
  • Monitoring generic and shared email boxes
  • Greeting and welcoming staff and visitors
  • Monitoring reception area, including mail/courier deliveries
  • Keeping meeting rooms tidy

Who we're looking for:

  • A good communicator
  • A candidate with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and reliability
  • A candidate with good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365
