Job Summary:

This represents a fantastic chance to become part of an expanding agency, playing a crucial role in leading the development of a non-promotional medical communications offering. The role demands the ability to distil complex information into simple, impactful messages. We are seeking individuals with a robust scientific mindset who also possess a profound understanding of marketing principles. Ideally, you would have a background in medical writing but are eager to integrate this expertise with strategic and commercial client engagement.

In addition to nurturing new business opportunities, you will enjoy direct interaction with medical affairs clients within the pharmaceutical sector. As our business evolves, there will be opportunities to engage with promotional materials, devising and refining content for various platforms and media. The perfect candidate would bring to the table experience in both scientific writing/direction and client services, embodying a blend of analytical and interpersonal skills essential for success in this multifaceted role.

Responsibilities:

Diligently applying your understanding of the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry, alongside regulatory and code of practice constraints, to inform your work.

Leveraging your experience with international and global clients to drive benefits for both the clients and our agency.

Collaborating closely with our digital, creative, studio, and account management teams to bolster medical strategies as and when needed.

Crafting medical content across a variety of platforms and media, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Utilising your insight into the market to contribute to the strategy for our new practice area.

Playing a significant role in new business development, including the identification of opportunities, the development of strategies, and the delivery of compelling presentations.

Grasping scientifically complex therapeutic areas with the ability to rapidly assimilate knowledge in new therapy areas as demanded.

Demonstrating a proactive attitude and a readiness to immerse yourself fully in your work.

Required Skills & Experience

You should bring previous experience within medical education or a related field, including roles that involved direct client interaction.

Your background must include engagement and management of relationships at a senior client level, positioning you as a respected authority in scientific services and marketing.

A profound understanding of healthcare science and medicine is essential, along with the skill to distil complex information into simple, compelling messages.

A PhD or an equivalent level of academic achievement is expected.

Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors is required, encompassing both non-promotional and promotional strategies and the latest industry trends.

You’ll need to be personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing client relationships, with a knack for delivering persuasive presentations.

Willingness to travel within the EU and internationally as needed is a prerequisite.

Working with HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have offices in cities with many employees and clients – New York, Chicago, Austin, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and London – that serve as hubs where and when they need us, and we encourage employees who live less than a 45-minute commute of a Real Chemistry office to go in at least two days per week. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Hybrid and Regional Teams approach.
