The role will be primarily to produce and manage the Emergency Department ("ED") rotas with a requirement to provide rota support across the medical care group.

Produce and manage the ED doctors’ on-call rota for the Medical Directorate, ensuring compliance with EWTD and new junior doctor contracts and continual on-call cover for the Emergency Department whilst maintaining appropriate cover.
Whilst ED will be the primary focus the postholder will also be required to provide rota coordination support across the medical care group.
To act as a contact point for day to day enquiries for consultant, middle grades and junior doctors. The post holder will be required to use persuasion, skill and experience to achieve a satisfactory and safely staffed rota. This is essential for the Trust to meet national targets and ensure patient safety is not compromised.
Co-ordinate annual and study leave for consultant, middle grades and junior ED doctors to ensure ward and service demand is met and that staff professional and annual leave is facilitated. This will need to be recorded appropriately on HealthRoster.
Support induction for all new junior doctors at four and six month intervals in line with rotations
Working Pattern: week - Monday to Friday
