We're seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to be our subject matter expert.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop training materials for pipeline and terminal operations.
  • Assess competencies within the team and identify knowledge gaps for targeted development.
  • Actively liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Educational Level and Professional Qualifications Required/Ideal:

Minimum Required: Higher Technical Qualification or Degree Level Education in a STEM subject (Physical Science, Technology or Engineering discipline).

Ideal: Bachelors Degree in a relevant STEM subject (Physical Science, Technology or Engineering discipline).

Experience (including number of years in role) Required/Ideal:

Minimum Required: 5 Years in a teaching / instruction role, Key Stage 3+.

Ideal: 7+ years, Key Stage 4+.

Other Development Requirements:

  • Understand the business environment in which the company operates and have an appreciation of the business sector and the companies involved.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant written resources and standards, where to find them and how to apply them.
  • Good understanding of the needs of working in a hazardous environment, work control systems and the Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) regulations.
  • Is conversant with relevant Health & Safety legislation and operational safety requirements as per Job Standards and can identify gaps required to develop personal competency.
