Role Summary:

To provide focused support to the Technical Management team assisting in the day-to-day running of the technical compliance function ensuring that standards are maintained in line with external audit and customer requirements. To participate in site technical improvement projects where necessary to assist with the delivery of the technical strategy in association with site technical compliance manager and wider technical team.

Main duties include:

CCP validations Allergen validations Hygiene validations High risk barrier validations Process control audits.

Support as directed.

Technical risk assessments (allergens, TACCP, site security) Gap analysis against retailer and customer codes of practice Internal audits as directed, Group and third-party audits. Close out of any non-conformances raised during internal and external audits ensuring they are actioned and completed within the agreed timescales as directed. Site-based audits at a set frequency against 3rd Party Standards and Customer manufacturing standards including GMP, Fabrication, Hygiene, systems, and documentation. To deputise for the technical compliance manager

Requirements, experience, and person specification

HNC in Food / Science subject or equivalent qualification / experience Experience within a FMCG technical team. Audit / 3rd party facing experience (desirable) Experience of working across multi functions with ability to influence. Auditing Skills Certificate Knowledge of Food legislation, safety, and quality Food Hygiene Level 3, HACCP Level 3 IT literate, able to work confidently with email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience of measuring and influencing KPI performance Able to give clear examples of working with projects involving cross-functional objectives. Familiarity with business processes outside of core role, such as, NPD, Accounting, Commercial, Production.
