Job summary

Norwich Walk-in-Centre are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our friendly team on a part time basis.

You will be reliable, dependable, passionate and committed to delivering high quality health care working closely with the reception team and supporting clinicians.

You will have excellent communication skills as you will triage at the font door to the Walk-in-Centre, identifying patient needs, guiding patient to register at Reception, managing patient flow in a timely manner and recognising patients with emergency or acute presentation at an early stage.

Norfolk Primary Care do not hold a licence for Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship, only applicants with right to work in the UK can apply.

Main duties of the job

Assist with triage at the front door followingappropriate training.

Assist with Venepuncture when required.

Wound care, removal of sutures and simple dressings.

Performing ECG and other tests as required

Ensuring equipment is stored safely and available for collection whenrequired.

Chaperoning duties.

Helping to raise awareness of health and well-beingand how it can be promoted.

Ensure rooms are well stocked, clean and tidy atthe end of shift.

Job Description

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant Walk in centre

Reports to: Walk in centre Team Leader

Accountable to: Walk in centre Team Leader & Clinical Lead/Clinical Manager

Job Summary:

Working under the supervision of the Walk in centre Team Leader and strictly in accordance with specific North Norfolk Primary Care guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the Walk in centre nurses in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. We are looking for an experienced HCA who can work independently with the support of colleagues as needed.

Main Job Responsibilities:

Note: This is a new role and the job description will be subject to individual performance reviews and will be modified as and when required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with triage at the front door following appropriate training.

C. Health & Safety:

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the Centres Health & Safety Policy, to include:

Using personal security systems within the workplace according to North Norfolk Primary Care guidelines and adhering to the Lone Working Policy Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards Reporting potential risks identified
