EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Commercial/Contract Performance Manager, you’ll lead the Contract Management team to ensure STS maintains contractual compliance on the -year contract with the Coal Authority. You’ll be accountable for performance against contractual obligations, timescales and requirements and ensure accuracy of financial applications, cost allocation and cost recovery.
Additionally, you’ll be the expert for the team on NEC contract requirements, deliver key contractual reporting obligations. You’ll also work closely with the rest of the team to ensure all members are competent in contract compliance and be the lead for all commercial queries and improvements.
The other key accountabilities of the role are:
Build excellent customer relationships and manage key stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and ensure risk mitigation to the business and the customer during any activities under the contract using appropriate sub-contracts and frameworks.Be the Commercial lead for the team to ensure cost management, cost recovery and accuracy of financial reporting and liaise with Severn Trent Group functions to ensure appropriate support services where required Group Commercial, Finance, PP. You’ll be accountable for the delivery of the monthly Financial Application to the customer to ensure accurate cost recovery for works undertaken both on the base contract and additional growth work and support Growth Delivery Team in tendering for additional works above the base contract.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To succeed in this role, you’ll have experience running an NEC contract and have a strong financial background. You’ll also have strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
It would be desirable if you had Contract Management experience in a similar sector such as rail, utilities or construction.
As travel is required, you’ll have to hold a full driving license.
