Job summary
Operational Assistants will support the service by greeting patients and taking payments, over Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays. Shifts typically run 08:30 - 16:30, you would be required to cover shifts as part of a regular working patten over a 12-week rolling rota. See rota pattern for more detail. There will also be an opportunity for you to pick up additional hours covering colleagues leave.
Main duties of the job
Liaise with Control Centre if dentist or dental nurse fail to arrive/ are delayed for their shift. Monitor patient waiting times, liaising with clinicians and patients to inform of delays/ waiting time. Ensure prescription protocols are followed in line with Access Dental guidelines. Liaise with On call manager should incidents arise. Ensure DAC remains clean and tidy at all times.
