Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local school in Boscombe.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, promoting positive behaviour, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive student outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Contribute to a positive school ethos by supporting the overall well-being of students and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
