We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector. While prior complex care experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke clinical training will be provided.

You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.

Our service user is a male in his 20s who lives with his loving family in Stoke on Trent. He requires support with his complex care needs on a 2:1 basis throughout the day and a 1:1 basis.

This rewarding role involves offering personalised support to enhance the quality of life for a young man who requires compassionate and specialised care.

A key aspect of this role will be to offer companionship and engage in his interests to promote his mental and emotional well-being.

He enjoys immersing himself in his VR headset and he frequently likes to tune into his favourite radio stations to listen to music. Additionally, he has a passion for baking, creating a variety of treats, and loves to explore arts and crafts.

Main duties of the job

Throughout the day you will be required to assist him to enjoy his hobbies, interests and access his favourite social activities. You will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling and attend to his clinical care needs when required.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

Shifts Available

Full Time Days Available 8am - 4pm (Monday-Friday) 8:30am - 3:30pm (Saturdays)

Weekdays: £ per hour (£120 approx. per 8-hour shift)

Weeknights: £ per hour (£186 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Weekends: £ per hour (£192 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Bank Holidays: £ per hour (£216 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Job responsibilities

The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.

The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.

Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
