About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs to prepare meals, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Serve food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Ensure all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the wider team, including dietitians, regarding dietary and planned meals.
Requirements
- Relevant catering qualification (desirable).
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
