As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to engineering across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Engineering Team Leader to join our maintenance team, based at our hatchery in Ower, near Totton.As the Engineering Team Leader you’ll be a key player in ensuring the consistent smooth running of Hatchery machinery including planning maintenance and reactive repairs, along with continually looking for improvements for future processes.

£18.88 per hour paid weekly. £4.71 Shift Premium when working Saturdays Additional £25 call out payment. 28 days holiday allowance increasing by 1 per year to a max of 33. Life assurance scheme. Working Hours:

You will be working 45 hours per week on a 2-week rota.

Week 1: Monday – Friday 06:00 – 15:30

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 06:30 – 15:30

What will your key responsibilities as Engineering Team Leader include?

Overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects. Implementing and maintaining engineering best practices and processes across site. Managing, motivating and mentoring a team of Engineers. Improving equipment reliability, stamping out recurring faults. Responsibility for equipment servicing and maintenance with external service providers. Supporting the back up call out rota. What you’ll need to be successful: Previous experience leading or managing a team. Ability to bring a team together with open communication, teamwork and a positive work culture. Have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or qualifications at level 3 or equivalent. Previous experience withing the agricultural or food industry would be beneficial.
