Client is seeking seniorInfrastructure Project Manager to manage and deliver a complex ITproject(s) with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to anaggressive delivery schedule.

Under the program manager the project manager isresponsible for the outcome of the assigned projects. The projectmanager leads the team through the Commonwealth Standard forProject Management for successful completion of the project phases:PreSelect Initiation Planning Execution and Control andCloseout.

The selected candidatewill:

Serve as a handsontechnical project manager with development staff and businessgroups.

Coordinate and communicate with ITDmanagement and staff to coordinate work tasks andresourcing.

Communicate timelines andexpectations to technical and business staff.

Collaborate with vendors consultants and contractors in theexecution of projects including contract management and workingwith the procurement office(s).

Adhere to VDOTand VITA project management practices and governance requirements;coordinate with VDOT and VITA Project Management Offices.

Maintain project budget plans tasks schedules risks andstatus and disseminate information to team members and customers asdefined in the communications plan.

Ensuredocumentation of requirements and use cases facilitate designworkshops for assigned projects.

Ensuredefinition of test objectives designed test plans and test casesfor assigned projects.

Provide the managementof project milestones and deliverables for ontime and onbudgetdelivery.

Define measure and clearlycommunicate progress with metrics.

Supportsystem and application training efforts.

QualificationsRequired:

A minimum of 5years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery Networkinfrastructure Network architecture wireless technologies Cloudimplementation vendor management.

Familiaritywith telecommunications network technologies network standards andpractices.

Manage projects consisting of networkswitches routers firewalls load balancers VPN fiber optics andinternet services.

Experience in the modernfabricbased networks Network Fabric underlay overlay and SD WANExperience with VoIP infrastructure a plus.

Experience managing large multistream projects.

Experience in reviewing carrier bid feedback and presentcarrier/circuit recommendations to the Management Committee forapproval.

Work with the crossfunctional IT teamsto identify/extend enable and deliver a scalable secure reliableand costeffective cloud solution that can be managed anddelivered

Responsibility for integratingtechnical knowledge and business knowledge to develop innovativesolutions to automate projects activities.

PMP or Qualified under Commonwealth ofQualification Standards for IT Project Managers for Category 4Projects. See:

Preferred:

Experience in both Agile and Waterfall projectmanagement.

Experience incomplex office relocation including networking security AV andother office equipment.

Agile Scrum Master certification

MicrosoftOffice products (Word Excel Access Outlook Visio PowerPoint ProjectServer)
