An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our Oncology and Haematology Helpline team, at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual with significant nursing experience in Oncology and/or Haematology and the delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments. This role will also involve rotation onto the inpatient unit and chemotherapy day case units.

Job responsibilities

You must have significant experience in caring for patients with cancer, be competent in cannulation, venepuncture, care of central venous access devices and administration of IV medications, and must be accredited in the administration of cytotoxic medications.

Informal visits highly recommended.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRANING

Essential

First level Nursing Registration on NMC register Teaching/Mentoring Certificate / skills, or willingness to work towards certificate Accreditation in the administration of cytotoxic medications

Post registration education in relevant specialty or working towards Other Post Basic Qualification or working towards
