What You’ll Do:

 

As a Process Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Hands-On Support: Work closely with our manufacturing organization and site teams to provide hands-on support, addressing specific challenges and opportunities to enhance capacity, process control, and network efficiency.

  • Lead and Develop Teams: Lead the development of our manufacturing and technical operations teams in implementing best practices, setting process metrics, and maintaining robust process control.

  • Drive Performance: Use data analytics tools and develop automation solutions to boost the performance of existing equipment and new installations, achieving breakthrough results.

  • Innovate and Solve Problems: Collaborate with our technical community to create work plans and innovative solutions for current challenges.

  • Reduce Costs: Support and lead cost reduction initiatives, contributing to our Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) pipeline through focused improvement teams and various strategic interventions.

  • Enhance Quality: Monitor and improve factory performance across multiple plants to ensure consistency and superior product quality.

  • Collaborate Across Sites: Coordinate efforts between different plants to share knowledge and drive process improvements.

  • Support New Product Launches: Be actively involved in launching new products, from attending test runs to gathering data and working closely with the development team.

  • And More: Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support our dynamic team

EDUCATION

 

  • Strong technical aptitude, mechanical/electrical engineering, and/or plant automation, with the ability to improve process efficiencies
  • Knowledge of food processing equipment, processing methods, manufacturing philosophies, and basic manufacturing SOPs
  • Monitor and support execution of projects to ensure sustainable product launches
  • Support plants to meet SCA targets driven through optimizing plant assets and practices leveraging real-time management, process control, and best operating practices.
  • Target year on year raw material recovery and line rate improvements at all facilities 
  • Network / collaborate through the technical services organization to contribute to future best practices and equipment standards
  • Participate in focused improvement teams across regions to deliver immediate impact to cost reduction and support SCA across the network. 
  • Capable of collecting, organising and statistically analysing data. 
  • Ability to work independently and within teams on abstract projects with minimal supervision.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK?

 

You’ll be based at our Scarborough plant in North Yorkshire along with a team of approx. 350 other colleagues. We opened this plant back in the swinging sixties, but it’s not stuck in the past. It’s one of the largest French fry factories in the world and after a recent development, it’s also one of the most high-tech. Our teams work hard to make sure the quality of our products keeps our customers returning for more, for now and years to come
