POSITION OVERVIEW:

Step into the vital role of a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will encounter fresh challenges and rewards daily. You will play a crucial role in production, from initial planning stages to providing hands-on assistance on the assembly lines. Your focus will be on driving continuous improvement by identifying production bottlenecks, enhancing safety and quality standards, and optimizing processes. Engage in innovative testing methods, conduct process trials, and collaborate on design evaluations to enhance assembly efficiency. Participate in thrilling projects such as new product launches and production line configurations, making a significant contribution to our manufacturing achievements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Offer Design for Manufacturing insights during New Product Development.
  • Ensure readiness for pre-production aligns with key performance indicators.
  • Design and enhance the layout of assembly lines and workstations.
  • Act as the technical authority for manufacturing processes.
  • Guarantee the availability of the latest tools, process equipment, patterns, jigs, and gauges.
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to refine processes.
  • Provide hands-on support for manufacturing process issues.
  • Resolve complex challenges using A3, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma techniques.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Trial new methods and tools, reporting findings and recommendations.
  • Support Production Change Control initiatives.
  • Lead and assist in projects from business case development to project completion.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Skills in mechanical or electrical manufacturing engineering (preferably both).
  • Demonstrated success in a similar position is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction, project management, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge, Teamcenter, and AutoCAD LT is advantageous.
  • Competence in IT tools and change management processes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and willingness for offsite work as needed.
